Messaging program description

Haircut is the sender of all messages in this program. Clients create a direct relationship with Haircut by booking on Haircut’s own website (www.gethaircut.app) and apps, and opt in to messaging directly with Haircut. A message may name the shop the client booked for context, but the shop is not the sender, does not receive the client’s phone number, and cannot text the client directly. Haircut sends only to clients who have voluntarily opted in; providing a mobile number to book does not by itself enroll someone in SMS.

We separate the two categories of messages and collect consent for them independently:

  • Transactional appointment messages — booking confirmations, reminders, and reschedule or cancellation notices tied to a booking the client makes through Haircut. These are sent based on the client choosing to book and provide a mobile number; they are not marketing.
  • Promotional / marketing messages — occasional offers and rebooking reminders, sent by Haircut, relating to the shops the client books with on Haircut. These require a separate, explicit opt-in and are never bundled with transactional consent or required to book.

How users opt in

Marketing consent is collected on its own separate, unchecked, optional checkbox, distinct from transactional appointment messages and from acceptance of our Terms or Privacy Policy. Checking the box is a voluntary opt-in only; it is not required to finish scheduling or purchase, and clearing it does not block the booking. The marketing checkbox discloses program purpose, message frequency, the message/data-rates notice, and STOP/HELP instructions.

Transactional appointment messages are not collected via the marketing checkbox; they are disclosed separately at the point a client provides a mobile number to book.

Booking flow steps

On /book, the SMS consent checkbox appears on the client-details step after the user enters a mobile number. The full wizard is:

Select shop → barber → service → date → time → Your details (SMS checkbox here) → confirm.

Direct barber links at /book/barber/[barberId] follow the same pattern: service → date → time → your details (SMS checkbox) → confirm.

Opt-out and help

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS. For help, reply HELP or email hello@vibedevelopment.ai.

Privacy disclosure

Mobile opt-in and SMS consent data are used only to support messaging in Haircut and are not shared or sold to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent is given directly to Haircut; shops do not receive client phone numbers and cannot text clients directly through Haircut.
